Our testers also rated the durability as the seat is large enough to last well through the school year.

We have tested the Glide 2 on various terrains in all weather conditions and it consistently delivers a smooth ride while keeping our VIP passengers comfortable and safe. It’s also easy to assemble as the wheels click and fold easily in minutes. We especially like the swivel mechanism built into the handlebars, and the maximum load is perfect for growing kids. There is reasonable storage space in the back of the buggy for small items like a sports bottle, but it’s quite small compared to others in our test. The suspension is responsive and provides excellent comfort even in rough terrain. This ultra-light stroller from British brand Out’n'About is an affordable option for active parents. According to our cross-country tester, it really held its own on the slopes, as the steep climbs were nothing compared to the light frame, solid suspension, and big wheels. It also has additional seat pockets and a canopy for your essentials and folds down to a small size when not in use. The seat is not completely flat, but it is soft, so your child will be comfortable while you count the kilometers.

It comes with a lightweight frame and puncture resistant tires for long outings, while the padded seat belts and very comfortable back support will keep your co-pilot comfortable on the road. It also has manual disc brakes so you can easily control your speed on steep descents. But it’s sleek and streamlined enough to work well in town too.

American brand Burley’s D’Lite is technically a bike trailer, but it can also be used as an off-road vehicle if you’re a multi-sport family looking for off-road adventure. With a padded seat and headrest, it’s roomy and comfortable for the little ones, while two large rear wheels and a fixed front wheel mean you can comfortably take your entire team on a variety of terrains.

Be Persistent: “Running with an off-road bike is harder than without it, but it’s easier with more, so don’t procrastinate!” Wendy says.
Travel light: Resist the urge to pack your child’s essentials. “Don’t fill your entire pocket with coins or a large bottle of water, the extra weight only adds traction.”
Running Form: It is important to maintain proper form when pushing. “Try to stand straight, move your hips forward, don’t lean on the handlebars, lean forward a lot,” Wendy said.
DIY: Experiment with how you click to see what works best for you. “There have been various studies of pushing with one or two hands,” says Wendy. “I prefer to work with one hand because it’s more natural, but not necessarily faster.”
