After all the warnings not to sleep, the dad-to-be asks his parents for happy moments and they deliver him

When Harris Fanaroff announced that he and his wife Kathy were expecting their first child, they were showered with blessings and warnings.
“Everyone said, ‘You will never sleep again. Say goodbye to travel, say goodbye to weekends. One negative review follows another,” Fanaroff, 30, told TODAY.com. “All the comments really started to cross my mind. I got mad.”
To ease his worries, the Maryland-based father-to-be took to Twitter. He thinks people have kids for a reason, right?
“I am excited, nervous, anxious and grateful that my first child will join us in the next 3 weeks,” Fanarov wrote in part on March 6. “I’d love to hear your favorite part of a newborn/baby/children.”
I’m tired of hearing… “You’ll never sleep again” “Your travel life is over” “Goodbye your weekend” I’m so excited to have my first baby join us in the next 3 weeks Nervous, anxious, grateful. I would like to hear your favorite newborn/infant/baby part
Fanarov asked, and the Internet delivered. They assured him that the sleep deprivation was temporary, that he would still collect passport stamps, and that the weekend would still be great—it just looked a little different.
“Honestly, we have always traveled with our kids and still travel (w/3!) When the kids were very young it was fun to go out to dinner and when we went out at night the kids just sat in the stroller (compared to normal kids ). before, we might have worked all night.) Plus, baby hugs are actually awful,” shared one mom.
The seasoned dad adds: “At 6 months to 1 year, sleep will be mostly normal. At 2, my son’s passport is prettier than most adults’. On the weekends, they will help you, so you can do fun things. , going out with the kids is what you want to do on the weekends (most of the time).”
They are so weird and funny. My husband and I laugh a lot more than we expect. Besides, we are really good parents and being a father makes me love him even more.
Our baby is 11 months old today. It’s amazing. She looks at her face in awe every time she encounters something new. Seeing as she picked up some little quirks from me and my wife. It’s all fantasy. Just enjoy the ride. Do what works for you.
Babies discover a whole new and different part of life filled with these things and of course love, joy, happiness, meaning and purpose. You have a whole new outlook on life and your heart is growing. This is the best thing in the world.
Harris – There’s nothing better than a handshake. First they will grab your finger, and then one day you will be walking around and you will feel them reaching out and grabbing your hand. That’s when hearts melt! Manage your own races and enjoy the challenge, it’s a blessing! pic.twitter.com/whs8tJuJbP
There are great answers here. The bottom line is that the good things outweigh the negative 100:1. Holding that little life and watching them understand the whole world, the smile on your face and your little hands, seeing you in them, for better or worse, they have to figure it out themselves.
My 2 year old has flown over 100 so people who claim they don’t travel are probably just lame.
